Thankful for New Community

Hey y'all. It is Friday and I have not talked with you for a while. Sorry. Things seem to be so crazy these days. This week we are completeing our series on "Prison Break" as we talk about the Prison of Discontent. Be sure to get here Sunday and share together with your brothers and sisters. We will miss you if you are not here.

I am really looking forward to next week. Cindy and Jake and I are heading out for some vacation time - rest, relaxation, recuperation and lots of reflection. I will be reflecting on what has happened in the past year here at New Community. God has worked in some amazing ways to bless our church family - 20 acres of land and an office building, sacrificial commitments of over $720,000 to pay for these purchases, new people joining NC3 and many people committed to ministry and service. I want you all to know that you will be on my mind. I will be praying for you and your family. This church means so much to Cindy and I and we are so aware of the time and money many of you are giving to make this possible. Please know that we appreciate you and your sacrifices for God are making a difference.

Take some time this summer and reflect back on what this church means to you and your family. Write down your thoughts and send them to me. And be sure that you get to church as often as possible. You need it and we need you to be here. Thank you for your commitment. We love you and look forward to hearing how God is working through you this summer.
