I need your help. We are talking about Hell in a couple of weeks and I want to hear your impression of what Hell may be like. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Doesn't have to be biblically based, just give me your thoughts and impressions. I promise I won't make fun of you. Just post to the blog or you can email me at revkevmorris@yahoo.com. Thanks for your help.

I assume hell is a hot, fiery, dark place where you are eternally worked to the bone.

When you read the Bible, it talks of Heaven being the great reward. It makes inuendos as to Purgatory and hell, but at no time does it state where these places are. Except for Heaven, When it talks of Heaven it is always when we die. As for purgatory and hell... If Heaven is our reward wouldn't this make now in our lifetime hell or purgatory. Here now we are confronted with the satan, we are troubled by our souls, we live in constant conflict with the promise that if we believe in God and Jesus as our Savior then he will take us to his kingdom one day.I've heard hell is made up of the conflict in our souls and the turmoil from within and if you believe and love God he will save you. So here, now is where I believe hell and purgatory is and one day God will raise me up as I grow in his path of love, light and good.

Hell is separation from God and all of our loved ones who have gone to be with Him.

I personally believe that hell can not be explained. I think it is the exact opposite of heaven. Wow if heaven is as good as I believe it to be then hell has to be a pretty bad place.

Heaven is better than our brains could possibly comprehend so I would say the same for hell. I imagine where ever it is assuming that it is even a place that it is worse than we could ever imagine.

We all watch scary movies, tv shows, and see real things on the news and in our own lives that we consider to be “HELL” but God promises us that we can make through anything this life throws at us. The key word’s there are this life and we have all seen and been through things that we can’t possibly imagine things being any worse.

The only promise God makes about hell (that I know of could be wrong) is that if we don’t except him as out savior that’s where we will be after our time here. No promise at all about making it through hell. So I’m thinking it is a lot worse than anything we have ever seen, will see, gone through, or ever comprehend. I would like to say it’s pretty bad but I know and understand what pretty bad is.

Reading thru the Bible it doesnt tell us enough to satisfy our questions. But it does give us enough information to belive that both Heaven and Hell are very real.
Rev. 21:3-4 says "Now the dweling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people , and God himself will be with them and be there God. He will wipe every tear away from there eyes".

For the description of Hell in Rev. 19:19-20:15 Jesus lets it be known that "weeping and gnashing of teeth," and the most common description of hell is a place of tormet swirling with dark, burning flames.

Plain and simple to me Heaven sounds great and well hell just scares the hell out of me. The Bible reminds us that our own destiny is in our hands.

When I think of hell I think of death and decay and horrid smells. I also think of people there being without emotion..only grim beings that are lost and have no hope. I also picture their beings roaming around and being torchured or worked continuously. I think of no hope, no mercy, no grace...all the things I picure Heaven to be.

I think Hell is dark and cold, and lonely. I think of a hunger that is never satiated (did I spell that right?), a thirst that is never quenched. Love that is never received, never feeling good enough, never feeling wanted or needed, never feeling special. Forever wanting..never being satisfied. A hole in your heart (or soul) that is never filled forever feeling empty, like something is missing. Hopeless,desperate,needy...
Heaven is light and bright and happy and satisfied. A love that is so big your mind can not comprehend.Being "in" Heaven is feeling loved and needed and wanted and confident.Being loved by God is feeling you special and fulfilled.

Hey!
While not wanting to trivilize Hell, I did find some interesting web sites. I didn't visit any of them and am sharing the amusing ones. Some places sounded awfully scary and since I am smarter than I look, I did not enter! It's dangerous and I'm sure that the Evil One would have welcomed me to some of the sites. He makes evil look so attractive to us until he has us in his grip and then...BAM(sorry Emeril)...the real ugliness rears up to devour us. I have no idea where Hell is but I can assure you that I am not going there! Let's see. Heaven? Hell? Heaven? Hell? Perfect! Gnashing of teeth. Perfect! Torment. God wins hands down!! He is an AWESOME God!

Now for the sites in my top 10 order!(#1being the best):
1. Hell for less on eBay
2. Hell.com...a site that will not let anyone in!
3. Hell...compare prices, brands and more at smarter.com(What?!)
4. T-Shirt Hell where all the bad t-shirts go
5. Get news and a map of Hell at Live.com
6. Neighbors from Hell is a public service website
7. Puresweethell.com (isn't this an oxymoron?!)
8. Website designed to sell...the latest in Hell market research
9. Hell ringtones
10. Visit Hell, MI.

I'm off, no silly, not that, to the great outdoors to rejoice in this beautiful day. Welcome home. Love the bear pics. See you Sunday!

To me Hell is the absence of God.

Can you imagine anything worse? You die and you find out that Heaven is real, that God is real and Jesus IS salvation and you wasted your precious life. And now you are eternally separated from Him and His Love.

And in the absence of God - it is a barren place without life. Kind of like a desert without an oasis or life of any kind. Just full of wasted souls who are in misery because it is a place without God or His Gifts.

I've always believed that Hell is here on Earth. I've never been able to understand what could be more worse than the hatred and sin that we see every day. I here all the time of innocent children being beaten and murdered. But, it wasn't until Riley Fox was murdered that I finally had a feeling of self realization. At any time, any where, lives can be taken and shattered. I do believe that if those that choose to rape, beat, murder, steal, or whatever, would come to know God than this life could be better. I know God forgives, but what Hell could feel worse than the Hell we create when we sin?
